National Championship 2018

Leisure Leagues Pakistan conducted the National Championship as the conclusion to the two football league seasons that were organized in various cities of Pakistan. The winners of the respective leagues then participated in the ‘Intra City Championship(s)’, with the winning team earning the right to represent their respective cities in the final tournament at the Baloch Mujahid Football Stadium in Karachi.

The championship was held from 28th June to 30th June, 2018, with 8 teams participating from 8 different cities, including Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Hyderabad, Qilla Saifullah and Mardan, as well as the host city, Karachi.

The winners of this championship were set to feature in the ISF World Cup 2018, set to take place in Portugal, to represent Team Pakistan.

Team Lahore (I Can And Will FC) managed to defeat Team Peshawar (Shinwari FC) on sudden death penalties after their game ended up in a stalemate in normal time.

The semi-final and the final of the tournament were telecasted LIVE on PTV Sports, with notable personalities such as then Sports Minister Junaid Ali Shah, former Prime Minister Mian Mohammad Soomro, and the members of the Trunkwala Family were also present at the event.
